INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

State Project Management Unit- Integrated coastal Zone Management Project, West Bengal (SPMU-ICZMP, WB) collects personal information from its potential users when they register with its newsletter mailing list or apply to it through online mode for a given advertised post.

SPMU-ICZMP, WB processes personal information on servers located in many countries around the world. It may happen that the personal information of the user is located on a server that is outside the country where the user lives.

INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
SPMU-ICZMP, WB does not lease, sell, or share personal information about the users with other people or organizations except in the limited circumstances described here:-

• SPMU-ICZMP, WB may share user’s personal information with such service providers subject to confidentiality obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy, and on the condition that the third parties use that data only on SPMU-ICZMP, WB’s behalf and pursuant to its instructions.
• When SPMU-ICZMP, WB has to answer to summonses, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise its legal rights or defend against legal claims.
• SPMU-ICZMP, WB believes that it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, to develop and test algorithms, heuristics and other methods and tools for detecting violations of SPMU-ICZMP, WB’s terms of use, or as otherwise required by law.

CONFIDENTIALITY AND SECURITY
We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with the Central Government’s regulations to protect the user’s personal information.
However in case of any breach of security SPMU-ICZMP, WB will notify the user as soon as possible and will take necessary corrective action taken in response to the malicious intrusion.

MODIFYING PERSONAL INFORMATION
Users can modify their personal information and also can deactivate and delete their account.  

ACCURACY OF DATA
SPMU-ICZMP, WB tries to maintain an accurate and up-to-date data to the extent that has been provided to it by its users. If the user’s data changes (including, but not limited to, a change in the email address) then the users will be accountable to notify it, so that the SPMU-ICZMP, WB can keep track of them. SPMU-ICZMP, WB has the discretion to retain that data which it may require to in future.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

SPMU-ICZMP, WB reserves the right to update this policy as and when it necessitates. The most current version of the policy will govern the use of the user’s information.
